THE FOG – Spiritual Disobedience and a New Passion for a New Life
Everywhere we turn you can see a world being showcased by an immature spirituality. Over the past few months I have been focusing on Gnostic history and what makes Gnostics different from the salvationist Abrahamic religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. This is an important step in reclaiming our rightful place among the many forms of sentient life on planet Earth. However, this is only the beginning. Now comes the time for spiritual disobedience. This can be compared to how civil disobedience has always been the precursor to social change. In the words of Gandi, “become the change you want to see in the world”. Spiritual disobedience is the next necessary step we must take to create spiritual change in a world gone mad.
This madness is easy to see if you have eyes to see. You only have to look around your own neigbourhood to see prejudice and bias in the form of intolerance. A lack of respect for Mother Earth results in a lack of respect for one another. Not only has this lack of respect seen the demise of many Gnostics, it has also destroyed much of the pagan world who defended the natural world. If you have any doubt of this claim then you only have to take a cursory look at history and what you will find is the heart of Europe ripped out during the inquisitions. The murderer of mid wives and healers, colonization of the globe, burned and hung tribal peoples of the Americas, Nazi holocaust, corporate financed desolation of nature, and the deception of the citizens of planet Earth by the spell of salvationism.
We must find a way to break the deviant spell cast on humanity by an immature spirituality lead by the patriarchal systems of world domination. The sooner we wake up to Gnosis the sooner the unnatural symptoms of patriarchal intolerance and greed will succumb to its own unnatural causes.
When I was a young boy my father had a standing joke. He would say “I went to the doctor and told him every time I do this it hurts”. To which the Doctor replied “then don’t do that”. He thought this was terribly funny and would laugh and laugh. I would laugh to but not for the same reason. But maybe the joke was on me and all of us. After all don’t we keep doing the same things over and over again and expect different results. Who is kidding who?
If something no longer works then stop doing it
Once we stop we can look for a different approach to the problem
At first you will not have an answer. You will draw a blank. This is where you should be.
You have emptied yourself. Now the creative process can begin
The solution appears out of what appears to be a vacuum.
But in truth the energy of creation is simply set free within the mind of creative imagination.
If we learn how to listen to our bodies each cell will be guided by our unique DNA.
For we are energy living in the garment of the body.
We know time on Mother Earth is limited while in the body. So we must quickly learn the lessons we have been sent here to learn. Unfortunately humans are stubborn slow learners. The reason we are so slow is that the body moves slowly where the mind moves quickly. The mind moves at the speed of light down our central nervous system. But the body can only respond at the speed of the earth. This why we must learn how to communicate with our bodies. The intellect has to deal with an ego. Where the body is free of the ego. It is simply a garment. A garment whose function is to slow down the intellect.
How does the body do this? It converts light energy into earth energy. It does this through our feelings. We need to connect with the body so we can properly understand our feelings. If we do not we will become enslaved to many physical addictions which are attached to the material world.
For instance, the cells in our body know who we are and what we need. When we eat food our cells know what to digest for nourishment and what to expel as waste. Likewise our cells know what kind of light energy or thoughts to keep and which to expel. The cells communicate this through our feelings and the interior emotions or movements of the soul. So if we cannot read our emotions we cannot communicate properly with our minds through the body. Just think of all the body memories we deal with on a daily basis which can either help or hinder our spiritual development. If a body memory causes an existential crisis which we experience as depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder we are being told by our cells that these feeling need to be expelled. Likewise if our cells cause us to feel sublime adventure then we are being nourished. We all know what it is like to feel sad or happy. This is the spiritual mind trapped in the body communicating. But if we cannot learn the language of the body through our emotions then life can become meaningless and we can feel lost and stuck in a rut.
The only thing that keeps us from learning the language of the body is fear and anxiety. As a result we carry this fear and anxiety around for many years or even for the rest of our lives. However if we learn the language of the body and identify the feeling and where it comes from we can let the cells of the body eat it up and spit it out. This can be painful. But this type of pain only last for a very short time compared to the pain of a fearful ego which can last a life time.
For me Gnosticism is not a religion, it is a way of life, a life style choice, a philosophy or spiritual path. This spiritual path will help us to decolonize ourselves from negative beliefs, values and attitudes which have been passed onto us from society and our families of origin. This will help us to wake up to living as energy conscious persons. This will enable us to become aware of the authentic spiritual beings we truly are. This is the inversion rather than conversion of Homo Spiritus in our waking life.
What has hurt you and caused you pain is not who you are. Pain does not define us. It is merely the bodies physical or psychological manifestation of our true self crying for help. This is why gnosis cannot be taught. It must be experienced and then discovered within yourself so we can return to where we stepped off the path and got lost. This is the wakeup call of your distinctive Homo Spiritus asking to be born. Your higher self has chosen you to become the dwelling place for a free and liberated Homo Spiritus.
For this to happen we must rebel against the colonization of our minds and dare to disobey the pathologies of life which distance us from our true self. When we hear the knock of gnosis we must possess the courage to open the door and walk through it into the accepting arms of Homo Spiritus. When we do this we will be pulled out of the chasms we have created for ourselves by the promise of a better life.
